Welcome Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association

The Tsawwassen BIA was formed in January 1991 with the mandate to build and maintain a strong business community, and to promote the commercial district, so that our businesses thrive and prosper. The ‘uptown area’ of Tsawwassen along 56th Street and 12th Avenue is the heart of town; with over 250 businesses ranging from retail shops, award-winning restaurants & unique coffee shops, and a variety of professional services across our town – from Centennial Beach to Tsawwassen Springs; and from the Canada/US border up to Highway 17 in our southern-most community of Delta, BC.

Our members range from small retail owner-operated businesses to larger corporate entities and member breakdown is equal between the professional sector and retail/service sector. Now in its sixth 5-year term, the Tsawwassen BIA and its board of directors continue to focus on promotion & business development, and on creating economic opportunities for its members through many avenues including: marketing & advertising programs; commercial and municipal-owned area beautification and streetscaping; advocating & liaising with the Mayor, Delta Council, and tourist other business organizations; and by sponsoring many of the special events that bring people here and keep reminding us all of why we love this family-friendly community!

Welcome Nurse Next Door

Brian Buckley and daughter Lindsay Eldridge decided to partner to bring much needed homecare services to the Delta/Ladner/Tsawwassen area. Both Brian and Lindsay expressed a desire to build a business that would give back to their local community and realized quickly that providing high-quality homecare services would be the perfect fit.

With a strong background in business management, Brian intends to shape Nurse Next Door into the preferred provider and employer for homecare services in Delta and the surrounding region.

Lindsay, meanwhile, will bring her attention to customer service to ensure Nurse Next Door leaves clients and their families enthusiastic promoters of her new business by delivering excellent client-focused care.

Together, this father-daughter duo are intent on delivering excellent homecare that will allow local seniors to remain comfortably in their own home.

Nurse Next Door now offers a wide range of one-on-one Home Care Services in Delta.

The Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions – Sunday Used Car Sale (held in the East parking lot of Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall), will be CLOSED until January 8th, 2017. The TBB Lions wish all of their participants and customers a very happy season and thank you for supporting this fundraising effort.

Past – Stockings For Kids – 20 Years of Giving.

The 20th Annual ‘Stockings For Kids’ Program begins November 5th.

The ‘Stockings For Kids’ program  is a fundraising initiative for Deltassist Family & Community Services, sponsored by the merchants of Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall, Century Group, The Delta Optimist and the South Delta Community.

The project makes an appeal to the public to help make a child’s Christmas morning, who may not otherwise have gifts under the tree. Generous individuals, groups, teams and businesses can adopt a stocking(s), fill it with appropriate new gifts, and return it to Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall, for delivery to Deltassist Family and Community Services, for distribution to registered children in need.

This program began in 1996 with 100 stockings and has steadily risen to 300 stockings sponsored. In honor of the 20th anniversary of this program, we are hoping the community can help us fill 350 stockings for children in Delta

Stockings may be picked up during our “Adopt a Stocking Day”, on Saturday, November 5th, 11 am – 2 pm, inside the mall, near Centre Stage Accessories. Participants will be asked to choose what age & gender they would like to fill a stocking for (example – Girl age 4 etc.), and return the filled stockings to The Smoke & Pop Shop, by Monday,
November 30th.
Please note that this year the greatest need is for newborns and children 9 – 16 years old.

Those wishing to participate, but are unable to attend the “Stocking Adoption Day”, are invited to call the Mall Promotions Office (AFTER November 5th ) to make alternative pick up arrangements, at 604-943-1735.

Thank you to all of the past ‘Stockings For Kids’ supporters, and we wish you Happy Holidays.
